What happens after I send this?

A person reads it — not an autoresponder and not a routing algorithm. If it is clear, we pass your details to the tradesperson who handles that work and tell you who to expect. If it is not clear, we ask you one question first.

Will I get spam or a queue of cold calls?

No. Your details go to one tradesperson for one job. We do not run an auction, we do not sell leads to whoever pays most, and we do not put you on a list.

What if nobody is available?

We tell you that, and roughly when someone will be. In August that is a real answer more often than anyone would like. It is more useful than a name who will not call you back.

Can I ask for a specific person?

Yes, if you already know who you want. Put the name in the description. We will tell you if they are on the island and taking work.

Do the photographs give away where I live?

No. A phone photograph normally carries the exact coordinates of where it was taken, and on a property that is your address. Those coordinates are stripped out here, along with the camera and timestamp data, before the photograph goes anywhere. The tradesperson gets the settlement you chose from the list and nothing more precise until you tell them yourself.

Are the photographs stored anywhere?

No. There is no upload folder on this site. The photographs are read once, stripped of metadata and attached to the message — after that they exist only in an inbox, like any emailed photo.

This matters more than people expect. Access decides who can realistically take the job at all — a property in Oia with 80 steps and no vehicle access rules out anyone who works off a van.
